Fraps is not a game, it is a recording program for PC. It allows you to record nearly any game you like/ internet page, desktop, etc. It also allows you to take screenshots with a click of a button which are then saved straight to the desktop, saving you the trouble of going into paint and saving the photo there. Fraps is also well known for its frame rate counter at the top right, top left, bottom right, bottom left. This little counter allows you while recording or even when your not recording to know how many frames you have a second which is very good to average when your playing a game. Fraps costs about $20 and is only available online.
One thing that most people don't understand about Fraps is that it records all videos in AVI format which means they are not compressed at all therefor a 10 minute video will be about one and a half GB. Don't worry, there are programs on the internet such as handbrake which allow you to convert these videos down to a reasonable quality and take up much much less space on your computer, you can also simply upload a video to YouTube which will also compress it for you.
